He will then explain how to use the devices, how to put them in the ear and how to remove them, how to change batteries and how to care for and clean the devices.

At Hear for Life, Dr. Cam will work to make sure that the aids fit your ear, budget, and lifestyle. Various hearing aid systems produce different hearing impressions. For this purpose we will produce custom-made earmolds based on the exact contours of your ears. This way you can be assured that your hearing aid fits perfectly.

The goal of hearing aids is to make everyday sounds more audible and conversations more comfortable. When hearing aids are first used, they can invoke many different feelings and emotions. This is very normal. Small changes can make a big difference in how things sound. Dr. Cam will perform a few small tests to make sure the hearing aids are giving you the sound where it is needed. It takes a little time to get used to the devices and the new sounds. In 2 weeks, there will be another appointment to check the fitting and adjust any programming that needs done.

It may take some time to get used to the sounds that were missing, and by working closely with Dr. Cam, you will get the most out of the new hearing aids.
